A 170km city, made navigable at the Venice Biennale

Real-time digital twin work behind one of the most ambitious city visualisations ever exhibited.

Visitors silhouetted before a vast real-time rendering of a linear desert city at an architecture exhibition

The challenge

The Line is a 170km linear city — a scale that resists conventional architectural representation. For the 18th International Architecture Exhibition at the Venice Biennale, the ambition had to become something visitors could stand inside.

What we did

  • Contributed to the digital twin and real-time content workstreams behind the exhibition.
  • Built a system that moved from the full 170km spine to a single module without breaking the story.
  • Treated the twin as a navigable world, not a fly-through — accurate enough to survive interrogation.
  • Held film, architecture and game-engine tooling inside one production discipline.
